The 7th edition of Dalmatinko is over
Dear friends, the 7th edition of Dalmatinko, the largest and most massive so far, has ended. We did our best to make all participants, parents and other guests happy, and most importantly we made sure that the children socialize and make friends. It is wonderful to see children who were in the same hotel at games cheering for each other, regardless of whether they are from Zadar, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Novi Sad, … It is wonderful to see children from Split hanging out with peers from Ukraine, and football brought them together because of the terrible circumstances in Ukraine. It is wonderful to see children from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan who saw the sea for the first time in their lives, the joy they experienced in Split is hard to describe in words. It was wonderful to see children from Vojvodina walking through Trogir in their jerseys and it was wonderful to watch the full tribune of yellow jerseys and T-shirts, drums and trumpets of Domžale fans. It’s a Dalmatian cup. Tolerance, equality and fair play. We are proud of the fact that many dignitaries came to the finals, the President and Secretary General of the Football Association of Kazakhstan, a high delegation from Uzbekistan who thanked us for everything, former and current players, owners of Emirates Sports and WinsUnited Sports Agency from Dubai and football officials from 7 countries. The end of the tournament in an atmosphere like only in Trogir was spectacular, the last match between Hajduk and Dinamo, parents of children from both clubs sit next to each other in the stands and cheer for their own, without wrong looks and ugly throws, absolutely for example as it should be perform at matches, world-class production with video walls and a TV studio, and what to say about the awards ceremony and the closing ceremony. It was worth being there, and those who are not, can watch everything on our YouTube channel and at least in that way experience the atmosphere that reigned on those beautiful Trogir evenings. No isolated incident that took place outside the stadium, in a public area, can overshadow all that is the meaning of the Dalmatian Cup, and today’s reviews of all our guests and participants are the only measure of the value of the tournament. We are lowering the curtain on the Dalmatinko Cup 2022, the tournament ended with 176 teams from 13 countries, where 400 matches were played in 4 days of competition in 4 cities, where we had over 5,000 guests and over 15,000 overnight stays. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the greatness of the Dalmatian Cup, our volunteers, coordinators, all the dear friends who support us and give us the motivation to grow and be what we are. Goodbye to the next Dalmatian.
